SRM University-AP, Amaravati successfully organised the “Trivandrum Educators’ Conclave 2026” at Hilton Garden Inn, bringing together nearly 60 distinguished educators, including principals, academic directors, and senior counsellors from leading schools across Kerala. Similar conclaves and outreach interactions were also organised in Kochi and Kozhikode as part of the university’s broader engagement initiatives in the state. The conclaves served as a vibrant platform for discussions on the future of education, artificial intelligence, liberal arts, and student engagement initiatives.
The events witnessed active participation from educators, students, and parents who exchanged valuable insights on emerging academic trends, industry expectations, evolving career opportunities, admissions, scholarships, academic programmes, and campus life in an increasingly technology-driven world.
Delivering the keynote session in the Trivandrum Conclave on “Higher Education in Sciences & the Future of AI,” Prof. Chakkalakal Tomy, Dean – School of Engineering and Sciences (SEAS), SRM AP highlighted the transformative impact of artificial intelligence on academia, research, and industry. He emphasised the need for future-ready education that integrates interdisciplinary learning and innovation.
Speaking on the topic “Demystifying Liberal Arts: Career Prospects in India,” Dr Vineeth Thomas, Head of the Political Science department, SRM AP, elaborated on the growing relevance of liberal arts education in shaping adaptable professionals equipped with critical thinking and leadership skills for modern careers.
The conclaves served as a platform for the exchange of ideas between educators, students, parents, and university representatives on the future of higher education and emerging career opportunities. The events provided a dynamic platform for meaningful discussions on innovation-driven learning, interdisciplinary education, artificial intelligence, global exposure, and student development, while also strengthening academic connections and collaborative engagement across Kerala.
Educators, students, and parents attending the conclaves appreciated the university’s strong emphasis on innovation-driven education, AI-enabled learning, holistic student development, placements, research opportunities, and student support systems. Several participants also expressed keen interest in visiting the campus to explore its academic ecosystem and collaborative opportunities further.
